Widely regarded for his original thinking, imaginative ideas, and strikingly unique hands-on approach, Workhouse Founder & CEO Adam Nelson brings deep expertise and leadership to the agency's consumer marketing and public relations work. In 2023, Nelson received the Best in Biz "Marketing Executive of the Year" Award and the MarCom Career Achievement Award, honoring his unorthodox command of the industry.
Before founding Workhouse, Nelson was a senior publicist at Jason Weinberg & Associates, representing high-profile clients including filmmaker Tim Burton, photographer David LaChapelle, Deborah Harry of Blondie, heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, and comedian Martin Short. He also served as Communications Director for the Asbury Park Boardwalk, Publicity Director for Irving Plaza concert hall, and senior publicist at the Peggy Siegal Company overseeing the Warner Brothers account.
Nelson’s creative leadership has earned the Clutch Global Leadership Award, U.S. Commerce Association New York Award, Congressional Committee’s National Leadership Award, and induction into the New York Business Hall of Fame. He holds a BFA from the University of the Arts and completed certificate programs at both Yale and Oxford University.
